Our Beading Ceremony

Last night was our beading ceremony. To you non-scouters, after completing our ticket items (goals) for our Wood Badge course, we receive a special recognition, "the beads", which has an awesome significance to those who have attended the course. I guess you all have to go so you know what that means :) I LOVE WB!!!
Jace, Rick, Brian and I were all beaded!!
THANKS to all that were there last night!! It was awesome!!

Yeah, it figures the owls think they look so good, when it's really the foxes that look "foxy".

Seriously, I'm happy for you, being the first ones of the group to get your beads. I'm working on mine but some of them are dependent on others. Oh well, I'll be done in the spring and then I can relax. Congratulations!

Came across your blog due to Wood Badge key words. Love your site and celebration of WB. I've been on a WB staff for 5 years in Indy. Great job carrying on the critter spirit.

Yours in Scouting

Summer 2008

Here are a few pics of our summer FUN! We did a lot this summer! It went by really fast! (some days not fast enough with the kids though...)

Scout Camp 2008

Jace is the YM president in our ward. He had his scout camp from July 7-12th. He had a great time, especially doing wilderness survival. They went to Knoll Lake, about 1 1/2 hrs. NE of Payson, AZ.

Wood Badge!

I had the amazing opportunity to go to Wood Badge, which is, for the non-scouters, a 2 three day weekends leadership training for scout leaders. It was one of the most amazing experiences I have ever had. And it was a BLAST!!! I went April 17-19 and May 8-10, 2008.
GO BEARS!!!!
